Keep up with your P-12 or other RUSA awards with a Seattle-start 100 km populaire.
Note: All riders must have current RUSA and SIR memberships (you'll enter your RUSA number during registration).
This ride is free and self-supported. A volunteer will be at the start to take care of the signed release and ensure everyone has cards, but they will not wait after the ride start time. Don't be late! Print your own cue sheet and/or download the RWGPS route. Be prepared to ride alone and in the dark (the days are short). This means you must have reflective gear (vest and ankle bands) per RUSA regulations, as well as a working front and rear light.
After the ride, riders will mail their cards to the address on the card by the date on the card—if you send your card later, you may miss out on getting your results recorded.
The ride will start and end in Seattle. The route will travel south through Seattle to Leschi and over the I-90 Bridge east to Issaquah. From Issaquah we’ll turn south and head into more rural King County. At Maple Valley we’ll hop on the Cedar River trail for a fast flat (a bit of downhill) ride to Renton where you’ll get onto Lake Washington Blvd. Unlike many of our rides in the Seattle metro area there are no monster hills to climb on this route.
