Come join us on April 26 for the Brevet Week 300 km. This ride is part unsupported series-in-a-week, which is a great way to claim all of your ACP Super Randonneur series at once. We'll have cards and cue sheets at the start, but you're on your own for everything else. It's a true celebration of self-sufficient randonneuring!

The Brevet Week 300k is subject to revisions if there is snow on Old Blewett Pass. Brevet Route 2426 Ellensburg - Leavenworth - Selah 300K will start by climbing over windmill hill and climb over New Blewett Pass (4100 ft) on US 97, to Leavenworth and control at Sleeping Lady Resort in beautiful Leavenworth and the Icicle Creek valley! The route will return back to US97 and will go over old Blewett Pass, an older paved forest service road that climbs up over 4000 ft. After returning to Ellensburg, the route will do an out and back along the Yakima Canyon (to Selah and back) and finish at the Super 8 in Ellensburg. The total climbing on the proposed 300k route is approximately 9,700 ft.

If you missed this ride last year, now is your chance to experience it in Eastern Washington.

Looking forward to Brevet Week! Here are some important details for the self-sufficient randonneuring Brevet Week rides:
  • Hotel rooms will not be reserved at the start/finish control! Please make your own accommodation reservations if you want or need to sleep in a room. Plan on limited food service availability late at night. We are organizing Brevet Week to be self-sufficient with no support and at a minimum ride fee.
  • If you are not staying at the Super 8 the night after each finish of Brevet Week, do not park there. They have a limited parking lot. Park at the Super 1 Foods (far front parking spots nearest Canyon Rd), just a half mile north of Super 8, at the corner of Canyon Rd and W Mountain View Ave.
  • Study the RWGPS. There are some turns that don’t have signs and there are slight right/slight left turns that you sometimes need to take at the same intersection with a 90 degree right/left turn. If you are a cue sheet only navigator, there are also bike trails that you might be riding at night, with no signs to describe which way to go. We did our best to give some landmarks to help with the way in these situations, but it’s always good to see the RWGPS larger map beforehand.
  • After you finish at the Super 8, I may or may not be at the finish control. I will have an envelope at the front desk. If I am not there, please have your card initialed, time stamped, put your control card in the envelope with your finish time under your name on the envelope, and text me that you have finished. My number will be on the control card.
  • After the 200k and 300k, I’ll be at the Iron Horse Brewery at 412 N Main St, Ellensburg, WA 98926 (about 1.3 miles north) until they close (Saturday 22:00 and Sunday 21:00) to hear stories about the ride! You can bring your card to me if you want to join me or just leave your card at the front desk and I’ll pick it up later.
  • If you will DNF, please text me so that I won't call your emergency contact when you don't check in at the finish.
  • If there are any questions or anything please call me as I will be staying at a house in Ellensburg later in the evening.
