This is a favorite route heading north from Seattle using the Interurban and Centennial trails.  After passing Big Lake and Clear Lake riders will enjoy many miles of quiet South Skagit Highway.  The towns of Concrete and Darrington provide opportunites to fortify yourself before the gravel climb up to Barlow Pass where you will be greeted by a SIR volunteer.  After descending to Granite Falls the route follows familiar roads back to Seattle with a slight detour to Sultan.  Fast riders may be able to join the stragglers from the 20th Anniversary Populaire finishing party which is at the same location.

The finish is at the organizer's house which is located 1/2 mile uphill from the start.  If you plan to drive to the ride, I suggest parking at the start location.  It will be an easy coast down the hill to return to your car after you finish.

The RUSA 20th Anniversary Populaire and Party finishes at the same location.  We will have food and drinks for the party and will ensure there is some left for the 400k riders who will likely be arriving throughout the night and into the next morning.  If you would like to leave a small bag with a change of clothes and a towel at the start, you will be able to shower at the finish before heading home.

Please preregister for the ride to help us plan for food at the supported control and the finish.
