About this event

If you see this on a desktop web browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc on a Mac, Windows, etc), then something is amiss. There's a strange interaction going on between some browsers (especially running in private/incognito mode or with enhanced tracking protection enabled) and Club Express. Until we devise a proper fix, you can work around this problem by:
  • Click here to open the SIR home page in a new tab.
  • Click the blue "Member Login" link in the upper right corner.
  • Enter your name and password, then click the big blue "Login" button.
  • Come back to this tab (you can close the home page tab if you wish) and refresh this page.
  • Hopefully all is well and you can continue with the waiver and registration process.
If you see this on a mobile device (phone or tablet) then you probably got here by clicking a link within Facebook. Our registration process does not work with the Facebook IOS integrated web browser. You'll need to open this page in a "real" (native) browser:
  • Click the ellipses (three dots) in the upper right corner of this window. You may need to scroll the page up and down slightly to encourage the ellipses to appear at the top of the screen.

    FB IOS App Menu Ellipses

  • Click "Open in external browser" in the popup menu.

FB IOS App Open In Browser Menu

  • Continue with the waiver and registration process.

RUSA Route #3704 "Centennial Trail 100k from Arlington"

Watch 4th of July fireworks as you ride the Centennial Trail. Starting in Arlington at 5:00 PM, you’ll begin by riding south to Snohomish, then turn around and go north to Nakashima Barn, then back to Arlington. The idea is to be riding the north end of the trail, between Arlington and the barn, after dark, for maximum fireworks viewing. In previous years, riding the permanent version of this route, the organizers have seen a spectacular display of fireworks right off the trail near the trailhead in Bryant, across the highway from the Bryant General Store, sometime between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Other displays, big and small, have been visible around and north of Marysville.

Lights and reflective gear will be inspected at the start.

Pre-Ride Notes

From the Safeway/Chevron parking lot, the route goes right on 204th St NE. The center through-lane is restricted by a raised divider for one block beyond SR 9. We recommend using the wide sidewalk rather than the street, through the light at SR 9 and to the next light at 74th St, where traffic thins out and the raised divider ends. (See screenshots)

A reliable place for free water refills is the Machias Trailhead, which you will pass at 26.4K and 45K. There is a water hand-pump to the north of the building with the restrooms.

Once the sun goes down, as you are watching for fireworks in the sky, also watch for pedestrians or other trail users. Some will not have lights or reflective clothing!

At 99.5K, you will turn left from the Centennial Trail onto Kent Prairie Rd/204th St NE. Watch for traffic, and for the angled RR tracks immediately after you make the turn.

Parking

Park away from store entrances, on the west side of the Safeway lot.
