Paris-Brest-Paris 2027
PBP 2027 is about one year away. Now is the time to start preparing.
This page is a collection of knowledge and resources gathered from SIR members, RUSA, and other randonneurs around the world. This page will be updated and expanded as the event draws near.
Preparation
RUSA maintains a Google Group specifically for PBP Prep. Browse/join here: https://groups.google.com/g/pbp_prep.
SIR will be holding several in-person "PBP Info" seminars. Exact topics, locations, and schedule TBD.
Qualifying
ACP requires all PBP riders to qualify by completing ACP or LM brevets of 200K, 300K, 400K, and 600K the year of PBP. You must finish these events by early June 2027 before you can complete your PBP registration. Note that ACP allows substitution of longer rides for qualification purposes, so one could qualify for PBP by completing two ACP 300Ks and two ACP 600Ks, four ACP 600Ks, two ACP 600Ks and two LM 1200Ks, etc.
Note: Only ACP and LM brevets are accepted for qualification. RUSA brevets and RUSA permanents do NOT count.
SIR generally has a packed brevet schedule on PBP years, giving riders many opportunities to qualify.
Pre-registration
ACP allows riders to pre-register early, before the qualifying events are completed. This allows riders to choose their starting group (90 hour, 84 hour, etc) and starting wave/time. This helps a ton with logistics. The pre-registration date is based on the longest ACP or LM brevet completed this year (2026). Note: Again, RUSA brevets and RUSA permanents do NOT count.
