A nice 200k route from the South Sound to Mossyrock and back. The 200k route is 4600 ft of climbing. Just after Centralia, there is about 2200 ft of climbing in only 33 miles to the Mossyrock control. The ride begins and ends in downtown Olympia.
The route leaves Olympia heading south through Tenino and Centralia then meanders southeast on Centralia-Alpha Rd to Mossyrock, with a pleasant ride around Lake Mayfield. In past years, this brevet has fallen on or near the hottest day of the year, but this time of year it is not advised to take a polar plunge.
After Mossyrock the course dips a little further south paralleling the Cowlitz River before turning north for the return through Chehalis and Centralia followed by familiar roads on the West side of I-5 bringing you back to Olympia and Fishtale.
Start at Olympia Coffee Roasters with excellent coffee and pastries.
Parking: Free street parking in downtown Olympia on Saturday.
Please DO NOT park in Fish Tale Brew Pub parking lot!!
Note: All riders must have current RUSA and SIR memberships (you'll enter your RUSA number during registration).

This ride is self-supported. A volunteer will be at the start to take care of the signed release and ensure everyone has cards. Print your own cue sheet and/or download the RWGPS route. Be prepared to ride alone and in the dark (the days are short). This means you must have reflective gear (vest and ankle bands) per RUSA regulations, as well as a working front and rear lights.
After the ride, riders must mail their cards to the address on the card by the date on the card—if you send your card later, you may miss out on getting your results recorded.
