Details

Rules for Dart Populaires may be found here: Dart Populaire Rules

All Dart Populaire teams will start at 9:00 AM Saturday July 30th and complete the ride within 8 hours (05:00 PM).

The destination is Friendly Grove Park, located at 2316 Friendly Grove Rd NE, Olympia, WA 98506.

Team Captains

  • Organize a team of three to five bikes (typically three to five riders, but can be more if tandems are included).
  • Choose a catchy team name. This is often the most contentious step.
  • Design a route. Tradtionally a point-to-point route is preferred. Loops are allowed, but out-and-backs are not.
  • Complete and submit the team questionnaire with the team name, roster, RWGPS route via the Team Captain Questionnaire Form. This form MUST be submitted no later than Friday, July 22nd.
No team entries will be accepted after Friday, July 22nd.

Riders can park at Stefanie’s house around the corner from Friendly Grove Park if you want to leave a car near the finish up to a few days before, or if you're doing a loop. Email Stefanie (address below) for directions and to reserve a space.

Team Riders (Including Captains)

  • Register via the usual process on this page – sign the wavier, pay the $20 rider fee, etc.

Dart Picnic

The Dart Picnic will held be on Saturday, July 30th, at Friendly Grove Park. We've reserved the picnic shelter from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and will have catered food brought to the park. Salads and drinks will be available by the time any early finishers arrive, and pizza available by 04:30 PM-ish.

The rider picnic fee is included in the $20 event fee. Additional guest picnic tickets are available for $10 each. Please pay the guest picnic fees via PayPal directly to Seattle Randonneurs. The guest picnic fees MUST be paid no later than Wednesday, July 27th. In the PayPal payment note please write "2022 Summer Dart Picnic" and the number of guest tickets needed.
