Road Cleanup

Registration opens Thursday, September 29 at 12:01 AM (Pacific Time).

  • Advance registration is required — we cannot accommodate same-day registration.
  • Membership: All riders must have current RUSA and SIR memberships (you'll enter your RUSA number during registration). Don't have a RUSA membership? Join here (or renew if your RUSA membership has expired). Allow a few days in advance for RUSA verification.
  • Online registration is open until Wednesday, October 26 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time).
  • Ride cost is $0 paid online at the time of registration.

SIR roadside cleanup area on East Lake Sammamish Parkway

The Seattle International Randonneurs sponsor roadside cleanup along a mile-long stretch of Eastlake Sammamish Parkway near Louis-Thompson Road and NE Inglewood Hill Road. The City of Sammamish provides litter removal kits, including safety equipment and tools. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and bring their own gloves.

Historically, there hasn’t been a lot of litter and we are usually finished by lunch. I think we’ve missed the last couple of years due to the pandemic so there may be more debris this year.

We'll gather at the Ebright Creek parking lot at 9:30AM, carpool to the bottom of Louis Thompson Rd NE at 10:00AM, clean our section of East Lake Sammamish Parkway, then return to the parking lot when we're finished.
