Spring 400

Preregistration has closed for this event. You can still ride! Please show up to the start at least 30 minutes early to get registered. Bring cash or a check to pay the non-preregistration cost below.

Cost of this brevet is:
$45 with online preregistration and prepayment before Thursday, May 16, at 8 PM.
$60 for non-preregistered riders; that is, those who register and pay at the start.
Come join us on May 18 for the Spring 400 km brevet!

Start at 7:30 AM from the Starbucks at the Bremerton ferry terminal. From Seattle take the 6:00 AM Bremerton ferry. Sign-in will be available on the ferry. Sign-in at the Starbucks will begin at approximately 7:15 AM.

The vehicle entrance to the Seattle ferry terminal has changed! Google directions are wrong! See the pre-ride report.

For those overnighting in Bremerton before the ride, or driving to Bremerton Saturday morning, bike inspection will be available starting at 6:30 AM at the Starbucks.

You can pre-purchase ferry tickets here. Print your ticket at your printer's highest resolution. The barcode needs to be crisp. You need a hard copy. The scanner does not scan bar codes on phones. Bikes have their own ticket scanner on the right at the Seattle terminal. Bikes do not pay for the return from Bremerton.

This route has 2800 m (9300 ft) of climbing, all at altitudes below 700 ft elevation. There is 4 km of tame gravel on Cougar Smith Rd, which we have used before on the Olympic Peninsula 600. Consider this gravel a stand-in for cobbles at PBP.

The finish is at the Bremerton Marriot Fairfield Inn & Suites on 4th St.

An additional late ferry option is the Southworth-Fauntleroy run. The last departure is 1:45 AM Sunday morning. One would need to finish by about 1:00 AM to load up the bike and drive to Southworth.
